My Completed Summer Bucket List

A photo I took near the beach on the Indigenous peoples’ day long weekend!

Hey again! How are you feeling? First of all I cannot believe that its already October, but before I go full ✨ fall ✨ on you, I wanted to share my 2021 summer bucket list and which items I completed. Also the title is a little misleading because I didn’t complete my entire bucket list, but it is what I COMPLETED off my bucket list.

  • Go ziplining ✅
  • Make jewelry ✅

These last ones were added towards the end of summer

  • Crochet an accessory / something I can wear
  • Write a letter to future me (I will definitely do this soon)
  • Chopped challenge at home
  • Clean / tidy closet ✅ (and installed an ikea system 🙂
  • Make s’mores ✅
  • Tidy camera roll (much needed)
  • Leave cute notes in books at the library

And there it is! Out of 31 items I completed 23! Although I didn’t finish 8 items, I’m very happy with what I did do this summer. This was really just a list of ideas for this summer and I got to do so many that have been on my bucket list for a while. Summer ‘21 feels like it was dream, not only because I feel like it went by so fast and like it was such a long time ago, but because it was a surreal summer.

This weekend we drove about 7 hours to get away for a little bit at this beach. The water has been warm and waves have been super cool. And (i learned about this recently) the water here is warmer than our last beach trip, California, because we are near a warm current. Let’s give me a pat on the back for remembering science. I rode some waves on a boogie board which was definitely a highlight of the trip. We also had some great seafood! Oh and the main mode of transportation was golf carts which was a great feeling. You can constantly feel the wind in your hair (and face) and if you try, you can smell a pinch of salt in the air. I recall reading books which spoke of salt in the air, and I wanted to feel that. Although I was a little congested, I did experience that for a little bit. Anyways, this was a really fun trip and I got to spend time with my family! I forgot how much I love the beach and how odd your hair feels, even after you wash it. I hope that you had a good time this weekend, whether you sat at home and did nothing or went out!

I want to close by just mentioning a big regret of mine. I know and believe that everything happens for a reason, but gosh I really wish I had gone to a Taylor Swift Reputation concert. Reputation is ICONIC and it’s a no skip album for me. Also, this is quite random, but how fun would a “reputation” Halloween costume be. You could dress like the icon that was the reputation era or just something that has “no explanation, just reputation”.

October 24 – Hi there, we’re already fully immersed in October (its even raining rn!) and I haven’t had the time to come and edit this post. I wrote this post during the Indigenous peoples or Columbus day weekend so the fact that I still haven’t published is a little sad to me, but here she is in all her glory. Haha, anyways wishing you guys the best fall ahead <3.
